The term “equitation” can be described in many ways including “balanced” and “centered” riding, or “effective” and “elegant” riding, thus creating flawless communication with the horse.

Through participating in this workshop, both riders and auditors will be able to enhance their knowledge and equestrian skills.

Why Join the UHA?

Since the mid 1980’s the Uxbridge Horsemen’s Association has been the voice for equestrians in Uxbridge, Durham and the surrounding area.  Our philanthropic activities focus on causes that are important to horses and their people as well as helping out and supporting the needs of our community. Most importantly we provide a forum for you as a horse owner, perhaps a farm owner, boarding facility or coach, to use as a sounding board should you ever need strength in numbers.  We welcome all disciplines and we do hold discipline specific events as well as general equine focused events, but more, we stand united in our passion for horses.

Yearly the Association holds events for its members and donates funds to the community.  Look for our 2018 Schooling Show Series, upcoming clinics and other Association events on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/UxbridgeHorsemen/

Those wishing to join the Association are invited to come to any meeting or Event to meet our members.  Membership information can be found under Membership on this web site.
