spring 2021 trail reminder:

Please stay off wet trails!

With spring hopefully right around the corner, the trails will be very soft, vulnerable and unsuitable for use.
This is the most sensitive time of year for the trails. If you are leaving any sort of mark (rut, footprint or hoof print), please stop and turn back. Please DO NOT go around puddles as it only widens the trails.

You may notice some TRCA trails signed as closed during this transitional time. It will only be for a short period to allow for the trails to thaw and dry undisturbed. You can find out which trail closures are in effect by going to the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority website (trca.ca).
Please respect trail conditions and other users; damage done now can last the season, if not years.

Why Join the UHA?

Since the mid 1980’s the Uxbridge Horsemen’s Association has been the voice for equestrians in Uxbridge, Durham and the surrounding area.  Our philanthropic activities focus on causes that are important to horses and their people as well as helping out and supporting the needs of our community. Most importantly we provide a forum for you as a horse owner, perhaps a farm owner, boarding facility or coach, to use as a sounding board should you ever need strength in numbers.  We welcome all disciplines and we do hold discipline specific events as well as general equine focused events, but more, we stand united in our passion for horses.

Yearly the Association holds events for its members and donates funds to the community.  Look for our 2021 Schooling Show Series, upcoming clinics and other Association events on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/UxbridgeHorsemen/

Those wishing to join the Association are invited to come to any meeting or Event to meet our members.  Membership information can be found under Membership on this web site.
