March 2018 - Trail Riding - Caution, Spring is Here!!

Please avoid riding on trails while they are vulnerable!

Give the trails a chance to thaw, dry up and the spring rains to pass!

Please remember, you represent all equestrians when you are on the trail. Your actions and attitude speak for all of us, so please let your message be a positive one. Be considerate and respectful of other users and be a good "Steward of the Forest". Other user groups are also advocating their members stay off the trails until they are dry. The UHA strongly requests that you stay off the trails until they are dry enough to sustain horseback riding. One thoughtless rider could lead to a "no horses on the trail rule" and ruin it for everyone. Thank you for your consideration.

Why Join the UHA?

Since the mid 1980’s the Uxbridge Horsemen’s Association has been the voice for equestrians in Uxbridge, Durham and the surrounding area.  Our philanthropic activities focus on causes that are important to horses and their people as well as helping out and supporting the needs of our community. Most importantly we provide a forum for you as a horse owner, perhaps a farm owner, boarding facility or coach, to use as a sounding board should you ever need strength in numbers.  We welcome all disciplines and we do hold discipline specific events as well as general equine focused events, but more, we stand united in our passion for horses.

Yearly the Association holds events for its members and donates funds to the community.  Look for our 2018 Schooling Show Series, upcoming clinics and other Association events on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/UxbridgeHorsemen/

Meetings are held quarterly - 2018 Meetings are held on January 9, April 10, June 13, and Elections for 2018 will be held on November 13.

Those wishing to join the Association are invited to come to any meeting or Event to meet our members.  Membership information can be found under Membership on this web site.
